Over the course of the past 15 years, Oreo Blue has undergone a few transformations.  But the band always kept true to having that unique sound centered around the interplay between the soulful saxophone of Brian Crowne and the blistering guitar prowess of Gary Hutchison.  Through the last year, Brian Crowne has not only been the identity of the band, but he kept us working and focused on being one of the most professional unsigned bands in the region.  When Brian needed to take leave to focus on his family and business, it left the three of us needing to find our way.  The result is this recording:  Oreo Blue—The Trio.

Performers:

  • Gary Hutchison (Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Lead Vocals – Tracks 4, 5, 7, 8, 13)
  • Stephen Boudreaux (Drums, Lead Vocals – Tracks 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 12, All Harmony Vocals)
  • Rod Williamson (Bass)

A full length Concert DVD plus Audio CD
Produced by Brian Crowne

Oreo Blue offers this live Concert DVD/CD to pay homage to Jimi Hendrix for making such a positive impact on the music world.  We are truly fans and hope that you enjoy our interpretations of some of Jimi's songs and other songs that he made his own.  Knowing you can't improve on a legend we only celebrate his memory.  We felt Jimi was such a visual performer that a CD wouldn't be enough and a DVD & CD was only fitting. Oreo Blue will also donate a portion of the proceeds to VH1's Save the Music Foundation in Jimi's honor.
